December has been a busy month in our church! We had several new members join our congregation in December: Debra, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and James. We are excited to have them a part of our congregation! The church is decorated with beautiful poinsettias and many projects have been under way. Many stockings were filled to provide some Christmas gifts to kids in our local area through the Salvation Army. Also, the Willing Worker's had a hat, glove and mitten drive named "Operation Snowflake" which collected 40+ sets to help out kids in our area. It was a wonderful sight to see all the items that were collected in the front of the church before being delivered. Recently, 815.00 was given to the Community Partners/ Woodsboro Churches cause. This money provided gift cards that many local people used to buy turkeys and whatever they needed for their families. On top of that, there was Christmas caroling, and also our church raised money through a calendar fundraiser. 540.00 was sent to sponsor an orphan in Liberia for another year. Praise the Lord for all that we were able to accomplish with his blessings.

A fun time was had by all at the Willing Worker's Christmas Party. Our Willing Worker's did so much hard work through the year for our church, and to help many people both near and far. It was great to spend an evening together having a meal, singing Christmas carols, listening to a Christmas message from Pastor Narvesen, and watching the kids open their presents. Thanks to all our Willing Worker members!

Here is a photo from the Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes which was held in Frederick. Through your generosity, over $1000 was raised for this great cause!

With Hurricane Sandy approaching, we were all glad to be able to finally get to Farmer John's before bad weather! We had planned a trip last year, but it actually snowed around Halloween and we had to cancel last year. The kids had a lot of fun at Lock Farm picking out a pumpkin and then decorating it with all the supplies they had available. The Lock Farm was nice enough to donate all the pumpkins to the church, which was very kind. I hope we all try to stop by and support John and his farm in the future! They have a lot of different meats, vegetables, fruits, canned goods and eggs available through the year at their stand or by joining a CSA. Check out their website for more info! www.lockfarm.net

On September 9th, we were blessed with a beautiful day for the baptism of Chelsea, and her mother Marika. May God's blessings be with both of them!!!
We had a great day for Rally Day once again this year at Grace Rocky Hill Lutheran Church. Everyone at our church is very thankful for the wonderful Sunday School teachers we have. This year after church, we enjoyed some great food and then the kids all got to run off their energy! We had a sack race, egg toss, scavenger hunt as well as a lot of running around and just having fun! This marks the start for another year for our youth at Grace Rocky Hill and we can't wait for our first get together on September 28 for movie night here at the church!
