The Least of These Ministries!!!

Today in church we welcomed in a great group of people who are volunteers for The Least of These Ministries.  Most all of our church already know how our members Bob and Debbie Bofinger have been involved already.  Today was a special day to meet many of the other volunteers and learn more about this great group and what they do.  It is amazing how these people donate their time and work so hard to help people who really need it.  Let's all try to help out The Least of These by donating anything we can.  Even if we all signed up to donate 10.00 a month, that would be a good amount of money at the end of the year. If you think about what we spend our money each day or week, 10.00 may be used to buy a movie, a lunch, coffee for a few days, it is really not much to us, but will help them so much more.  The people in the Dominican Republic really need our help.  Thanks to everyone this morning for the great program, and a BIG THANKS to Bob and Debbie for organizing it!

If you haven't already, please check out their website here:

Also, if you are on Facebook, go and "like" them here right now!  Even if you are not a member of Facebook, you can view a video and see more photos and learn about fundraisers coming up!

Easter 2012 !!!! Libertytown, Woodsboro, Walkersville, Johnsville, New Midway area Lutheran Church, Grace Rocky Hill

Easter at Grace Rocky Hill is one of the most special days of the year!  Early in the morning, many people enjoyed the Easter Sunrise Service with a great breakfast following.  Then at the normal worship time, everyone heard a wonderful sermon by Paster Narvesen, and all the kids attending had a fun time outside with an Easter Egg hunt.  We were blessed with such a perfect day, sunny and warm.  Spring is definitely here!

from the Pastor:
Easter is......
Easter is a joyful day.  We share the joy of this day at church and with family and friends.

The meaning of Easter can be summed in the one word, LIFE.  Easter means resurrection to eternal life.  We have been assured, "Because I live, you shall live also."

Easter means that we can have HOPE.  Hope in the Resurrection and hope in the reunion with our loved ones on the great Easter morning.

Easter means that we can say... "I shall not die but live."

Easter means witness.  With those who went to the tomb early that morning, we too, go there and give witness to the fact that the tomb is empty and we witness that.......

      Jesus is risen today!
